Collection: Marcia McDade McMann

Marcia McDade McMann’s early career was spent creating editions of colorful silk screen prints of travel scenes from memory.   She used both watercolor and oil paint to study color, form and composition in preparation for the printing process. While working with the silkscreen, she began to explore ways to produce monotypes using oil pastel and oil based silk-screen ink. This process provided a more  spontaneous approach and the images produced were more personal.  She continues to follow this approach with paint and mixed media collage using oil pastels, acrylic, fabric and paper.
