My father has been a big fan of The Hobbit from when it was still just a really good book, so I watched the original animated version of the film with him when I was just 8. I too became a life-long fan, dreaming of one day having a home under a hill with a big round front door. While that dream hasn’t come true (yet), I enjoyed rendering the idea in the form of a hat, allowing my head to be both in the clouds and under the hills.
