Brian Bortz

Brian Bortz’s work celebrates the diversity of wood as it occurs in nature. He selects different woods for a piece based on their natural figure and color tone. He looks for contrast and compliment resulting in a piece of furniture that is soothing and comfortable. His eye leads him to incorporate soft curves and arcs in a design, whether in the physical dimensions or within the marquetry work.
