When creating clothing, I consider myself a designer first, with function as a primary consideration. As an artist I want to make a visual statement but not at the expense of comfort, appearance, or ease of movement. My garments are designed to enhance the appearance of the people who wear them. If I can also incorporate an intriguing play of line and color that illustrates geometry in motion or perhaps describe with textures and soft shades a respect for grace and elegance, I am pleased.
