My work is primarily in the medium of handwoven tapestry although I have begun to mix other elements with tapestry (as in “Cryphonectria Parasitica”). I have grave concerns for the environment and human interaction with it. The images that I weave are based upon those concerns. I choose both “healthy” images–organically grown fruits like the apples shown, and “unhealthy” ones–like the cryphonecteria parasitica (chestnut blight). I also make images about the result of the use of Agent Orange in the Vietnam Conflict (Operation Ranch Hand).
