Collection: Loretta Ana Kaufman

Clay
Nashville, TN | Exhibiting Since 1988 (Emeritus)
Loretta Kaufman’s life long love of nature is the inspiration for her ceramic sculptures. It is the powerful forces within the natural world that continue to fascinate her. Giant waves crashing against boulders, a leaf changing in autumn, or a flock of birds — all influence her work. Clay can be torn, ripped and cut. Sometimes impressions or other textures may appear on the surface of the piece. Each is used to express the energies and rhythms of the life around us.
