Artist Statement: Out of John Skau’s Archdale, NC studio comes a nationally recognized and award-winning collection of contemporary baskets. They range in scope from architectural, sculptural forms to smaller designer baskets. Each basket is a one-of-a-kind creation. Natural and painted hardwood strips are woven into graphic light and dark patterns and designs using complex weave structures. These distinctive works are suitable for both residential and corporate interiors.

Obituary.  John Lawrence Skau, 53, of Archdale died Wednesday, October 10, 2007.
