Collection: This is the Way: A Study in Maps

This is the Way: A Study in Maps explores the idea that maps are more than tools for navigation, they are records of memory, identity, movement, and meaning. This collection interprets maps not only as physical representations of place, but as emotional and symbolic pathways: the routes we travel, the histories we inherit, the connections we forge, and the unseen landscapes we carry within us.

Inspired by cartography in all its forms, from topographical lines and celestial charts to genealogies and “maps of the heart,” these works reimagine mapping as both art and storytelling. Each piece becomes its own journey, inviting the viewer to consider direction, discovery, and what it truly means to find one’s way.
