Works on Paper
Knoxville, TN | Exhibiting Since 2004
As a photographer, I try to take my work one step further. I want the viewer to see something else – to sense something else – something in addition to the person, object or scene that I capture. By using several alternative processes, I can give the image a soft focus, a slightly altered hue, and/or a feeling of liquidity that flows with the subject. This approach to my work adds spontaneity and surprise – the viewer is often startled to see the actual emulsion flowing across the paper much like water. I am entranced with Polaroid film and the creative possibilities it offers.
