EVENT INFORMATION

Thank you for your interest in Piedmont Craftsmen’s online exhibition. By applying, you are entering consideration for a chance to be showcased among some of the country’s finest craft artists. Piedmont Craftsmen is a renowned guild, celebrated for its innovation in craft, craftsmanship, and artistic vision since 1964. We are dedicated to presenting diverse, high-quality work and providing our exhibiting members with exposure to a broad, engaged audience through our online platform.

We encourage makers from all walks of life and mediums to apply and join this vibrant community of fine craft professionals. This online exhibition provides a unique opportunity to present your work to art lovers and collectors while connecting with fellow artists in a supportive, creative environment.

GUILD AND NON-GUILD MEMBERS

Both Guild members and non-members are welcome to apply. Non-members will be considered for the exhibition, and upon acceptance, will have the option to join the Guild for future benefits.

MEDIA

We accept work in a variety of media, including but not limited to: book arts, clay, fiber, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, paper, photography, printmaking, and wood. Work must be original, designed, and produced by the applying artist or under the artist's direct supervision. We do not accept 2-D drawings, or oil, acrylic, or watercolor paintings on canvas, paper, or wood, nor buy-sell, food items, or commercially produced products.

SHIPPING RESPONSIBILITIES

If your work is sold during the exhibition, you will be notified directly. You are responsible for shipping your work to the buyer, including any shipping costs, insurance, and packaging. We will provide the buyer’s shipping information and support as needed.

REVIEW PROCESS

Our review process will be conducted by the Piedmont Craftsmen Standards Committee. The committee evaluates submissions based on technical mastery, design, and clarity of artistic voice:

Does the work show professional-level craftsmanship and attention to detail?

Is the work creative, with thoughtful composition, materials, and artistic elements?

Does the work reflect a cohesive body of work with a distinctive artistic expression?

The committee will review all submitted images and artist statements to determine which pieces are best suited for the online exhibition.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES

To apply, submit the following by the application deadline:

Completed application form

Eight (8) images of your best work (at least 6 different works represented)

A brief artist statement describing your materials, techniques, and inspiration

Application fee of $25 (payable after form completion)

NOTIFICATION

Applicants will be notified of their submission status by [date]. Due to the volume of applications, feedback will not be provided, but all decisions are final.
