I design and sew handbags featuring intertwined circles of coiled rope. Each piece is created to function as both a practical accessory and a wearable work of art. Every bag begins with a single skein of rope that is carefully stitched together using a zigzag stitch on a sewing machine. The initial coil forms the foundation, and each additional coil is sewn through the previous one to build the design. Creating the precise symmetry of the bags requires exact rope measurements and consistent tension throughout the sewing process. Every piece is fully lined with coordinating fabric and finished with either a zipper or magnetic snap closure. Depending on the complexity of the design, each handbag takes between 8 and 16 hours to complete.
