I create functional stoneware that is both visually vibrant and satisfying to hold and use. Through wheel-throwing and hand-building techniques, I combine tactile surfaces with playful, layered imagery. I carve faceted clay surfaces and hand-brush glaze onto each plane, creating gem-like shifts of color and bright gradients that contrast with dark clay bodies. I also incorporate layered underglaze transfers, illustration, and carved patterns on white stoneware, featuring motifs inspired by nature, food, and seasonal rhythms.
