"Benevolence", mixed media piece by Exhibiting Artist Member, Eleanor Wirth.
Cut repurposed road maps and packaging, vintage and contemporary sequins, seed beads, hand stitched with nylon thread onto canvas, finished with cotton embroidery. 18”x 48”x 1 1/8” (Can be hung vertically or horizontally)
The stage following midlife is referred to as Benevolence- defined as the desire to do good to others. But how do we treat one’s self and what direction are we really going in? Perhaps, are we searching to maintain our relevance? The roles we were secure in are now shaken and we are too aware that the clock is always ticking.
