"Sooner or later, we all experience challenges, adversity, or loss.

But loss comes in many forms and is not limited to the deep ache of a family member or friend passing away or the quiet pain after the death of a beloved pet.
 
The feeling of loss comes with the end of a relationship, moving to a new city and leaving a familiar community behind, or the unraveling of a once-sacred space that no longer seems to welcome us.

Loss can be the unexpected firing from a job and the resulting financial uncertainty, or the distressing acknowledgement of health problems and the limitations we now must come to terms with.

Loss takes many forms and so does grief. Healing has no set path or speed; it takes its own way and time. The same is true for overcoming obstacles and hardship.

Yet the human spirit is inspiring due to our ability to heal and our capacity for resilience. We fall, but we get up. We fail, yet we try again. We are determined, we persevere, and we do not give up easily. We don’t tend to stay in a dark place.

We can find inner peace again, happiness, and joy in living. As the darkness slowly lifts, we move forward into the light."
